About My Clients

I have experience with individuals, couples, families, adults, teens, and children. I work with trauma, depression and anxiety, chronic illness and Disability issues, fat positivity and liberation, body positivity, LGBTQIA+ folks, and have a sex- and kink-positive approach. I also have experience with life transitions, end-of-life decisions and care, divorce and separation, veterans and their loved ones, grief and loss, and general struggles with self-love and self-compassion.

My Background and Approach

I have practiced in a wide variety of settings. In community mental health, I worked with adolescents and adults recovering from serious mental health crises and helped them recognize and build upon their own strengths. Many of my clients were survivors of physical and sexual abuse, were children of people with addiction, and/or were struggling with their own addiction issues. Through my work in medical settings, I worked closely with adolescents and adults with disabilities who were coping with progressive illnesses, loss of physical functioning, anxiety and depression, and who were facing end-of-life decisions. I specialize in working with trauma, anxiety and mood disorders, chronic illness and disability, body positivity, fat positivity and liberation, adolescents and families, and grief and loss. I also have experience and enjoy working with members of the LGBTQIA+ community, veterans and their loved ones, and adults and children impacted by divorce.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My commitment to social justice through healing and providing healing space is lifelong. I believe in the lifelong process of reflection, growth, and healing from White Supremacy. I believe that all bodies are beautiful and that all bodies have value regardless of size or ability. I believe that communities and individuals carry history, knowledge, and tools, that all of us have the inherent ability to heal ourselves when given the right environment and relationships. I believe in a world where people can express their gender, sexuality, love, and joy freely. I am a member of an anti-Zionist, Jewish community and am raising my child to understand her heritage and her role in fighting for justice for oppressed communities. And, I believe in the healing power of humor and of pets.
