My Background and Approach
I like to challenge automatic ego defense mechanisms so that we can get to the core of who you are and observe with compassion. Together we can create a safe environment for you to explore yourself and your emotions/trauma through the usage of mindfulness, DBT, narrative therapy, art, movement and other holistic approaches.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
From personal experience, I know how scary, overwhelming, lonely, and defeating our internal reality can be at times. It can make monsters out of ourselves and others. But it doesn't have to be that way. What if instead we look at life events as experiences to be had and understood? What if there's actually nothing wrong with you or anyone else and we all just want to feel loved and accepted for who we genuinely are? I know life can feel empty and scary sometimes, but it doesn't have to be that way. Suffering does not have to be a thing we dread or get stuck in. Together we can help you feel how beautiful life truly is.
