About My Clients
I have a passion for working with adults healing from complex or acute trauma; suicide loss survivors; artists and creatives; and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.
My Background and Approach
In my therapeutic practice, informed by the nervous system and somatic therapy, I strive to honor the ways in which our emotions and actions work to keep us safe, while also exploring how they may be disconnecting us from who and what we care about. Sessions often focus on present-moment awareness, a mindfulness practice, and incorporate the principles of ego state therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and EMDR, without shying away from humor and celebrating joy. I earned my master’s degree in social work from Simmons University and have advanced training in the treatment of trauma, dissociation, grief, and suicidality. Relatedly, I am dedicated to supporting suicide loss survivors through my volunteer work on the Grief Support Services team at Samaritans. Prior to my work as a therapist, I trained as a fine artist and worked as a professional photographer, which is at the heart of my creative approach and non-pathologizing orientation as a therapist.
