About My Clients
As a therapist, I am passionate about helping you connect to yourself, the earth, and the people around you. I use body-based, nature-oriented, and relationship practices to help you ground into your purpose in life. I especially enjoy working with romantic partners, families, and adult friendships, which are often some of our most important relationships. I am affirming of all people, including multicultural, neuroexpansive, 2SLGBTQ+, and polyamorous people and relationships.
My Background and Approach
My approach to counseling builds on existing strengths and situates you, the client, as the expert on your own life. I believe that relationships with self, others, and our broader communities are foundational to wellbeing, and encourage exploration of these areas through a trauma-informed, culturally attuned lens. I take a compassionate approach to existing dynamics and coping methods and work alongside you to bring patterns into conscious awareness. I use emotions-focused therapy, narrative therapy, and family systems to bring understanding to your current situation and promote change through accountability to your core values. I am a student of Somatic Experiencing, a body-oriented method for healing trauma and stress, and work in a trauma-informed way. The natural world has been instrumental in my personal healing and growth process, and I bring elements of ecotherapy and nature into my practice. I also help clients prepare for and integrate plant medicine/psychedelic experiences.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person has unique gifts to contribute to the global collective, so when we are well enough to thrive instead of survive, it benefits our broader communities. I believe in self-determination and approach each client with respect for your sovereignty, affirmation of your strengths, and support for your vulnerabilities. I work for a world where all people can live free of oppression, both identity-based and material.
