About My Clients
You deserve to love every single part of who you are. It's not always easy. Maybe it's been especially hard lately. Maybe there are past experiences that have damaged your sense of self-worth. Maybe you're suffocated by a society that tells you how you should look, behave, and love. Maybe you struggle with a sense of shame that makes it difficult to be radically, fully, unapologetically you. Somewhere along the way, you've gotten stuck. It's time to get unstuck. My Background and Approach
My counseling style is warm, genuine, and relaxed. I strive to make therapy a comfortable space for you to explore yourself fully without fear of judgement. I am especially passionate about working with the LGBTQ+ community, autism, ADHD, body image & disordered eating, and trauma. I love working with both adolescents and adults. I earned my bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of Texas at Austin in 2017, and I earned my master's degree in counseling in 2020. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate supervised by Dr. Ellen Melton, LPC-S. I have experience working with clients on gender identity and expression, sexual orientation and other queer issues, trauma, autism, ADHD, disordered eating, and body image. My number one goal for you is to help you live a life that feels authentic and fulfilling. We will work together to figure out the kind of life you want to live, what's getting in the way, and what changes we can make to get you there.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a cisgender bisexual woman who is an active part of the LGBTQ+ community. I go beyond being LGBTQ-friendly – I am LGBTQ-competent, and I participate in continuing education to stay up-to-date on the issues affecting our community. Black Lives Matter, and I am committed to antiracism in my work as a mental health provider. I have chosen each of my specialties because I have struggled with each one in my own life. I am dedicated to providing a safe and nonjudgemental space for every single one of my clients, no matter what.
