About My Clients

My Background and Approach
I have a variety of tools and approaches for you to use in your healing journey. I am LGBTQ-Affirming with extensive experience working with queer and trans folk. I am EMDR trained and CPT (cognitive processing therapy) certified and conversant with trauma informed modalities. I also use Mindfulness, Brief Solutions Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to teach you skills and tools to improve your mental health, ease your symptoms, and address root causes of distress. I work virtually with client from Texas and New Mexico.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe in healing and growth. We all suffer disappointment, pain, and even trauma, but also we all can tap into our ability to heal and emerge stronger and wiser from such experiences. Anyone can learn to be healthier and more fulfilled. I affirm and support all gender identities and sexual orientations. I strive to be cultural competent and affirming in as many dimensions as possible. My feminist approach brings a powerful intersectional lens that considers you as a whole person with many different facets to your life and situation. Honoring those myriad differences and supporting your journey are at the center of my work with you.
