About My Clients

My Background and Approach
Everyone has a story and sometimes their story includes twists and turns that can keep them from moving forward in their lives. That might be through turbulent relationships, use of substances or a loved one struggling with substance use, bouts of depression or anxiety that impacts their quality of life, a loved one passing away or their own thinking patterns that influence their behaviors. My role in working with my clients is assisting them with moving forward, finding new solutions or courses of action, and helping them build their toolbox so that they can cope more productively with life struggles. I would describe my style as empathic, validating, and even humorous to help establish rapport with my clients and to form a therapeutic relationship that feels safe and comfortable. I place an emphasis on building collaborative therapeutic relationships that help my clients to feel understood and accepted.
