About My Clients

My ideal clients are those ready to explore patterns that no longer serve them, especially around body image, self-worth, and identity. I work well with individuals who feel isolated by their experiences with eating disorders or are exploring intersecting identities. Using empathy and thoughtful challenge, I create a space to help you reclaim a sense of self that aligns with your values and fosters resilience.

My Background and Approach

With extensive experience in higher levels of care, I’m dedicated to helping you navigate the complexities of eating disorders with compassion and expertise. Clients often describe me as warm, empathetic, and appropriately challenging. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic approaches to provide a tailored and effective therapeutic experience. I deeply value body liberation and strive to help you break free from societal pressures, fostering a peaceful and accepting relationship with your body. Equally important is the value of embodiment; I believe healing begins when we reconnect with and trust our bodies. My approach is holistic, considering the broader systems impacting your well-being. I work collaboratively with other providers to ensure comprehensive support for your health. I’m here to support you with empathy and warmth, helping you grow and find balance.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe, as bell hooks teaches, that healing is a shared journey—it doesn’t happen in isolation. My work is about helping you connect with yourself in a way that feels true, free from society’s expectations of how you should look, eat, or be. I approach therapy with a focus on body liberation, embracing Health at Every Size (HAES), and advocating for an anti-diet, embodiment-focused practice. I’m here to help you move beyond harmful patterns and reconnect with your body and self in a way that’s whole and healing.
