About My Clients
The majority of my clinical experience comes from working at the Oregon State Hospital and The Department of Corrections. I have worked with mandated clients for many years who have suffered from a variety levels of mental health stability. For the past couple of years I have been working in private practice. I currently work with children, teens and adults. I provide individual in person and telehealth services.
My Background and Approach
In the beginning of my career I worked for institutions and the primary modalities used were Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. I do have experience working with personality disorders. Over the past few years I have focused my trainings on Autism Spectrum Disorder, LGBTQIA+ issues and Trauma informed therapy. I use a strength base and holistic approach to therapy. I use evidence based modalities in my practice that fit my clients needs.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that all individuals have the capacity for change and growth. I do have a Christian background, yet I do not provide Christian counseling. Spirituality is a personal thing and I am open to working with any form of spirituality. I believe in the rights of individuals to live a fulfilling authentic self and I would be honored to assist individuals in there specific journey.
