About My Clients

Nervous about making the first phone call? Looking for someone who understands how it feels to be in therapy? I have lived experience with anxiety, panic attacks, depression, childhood trauma, PTSD, being neurodivergent, and religious trauma. I am passionate about working with the LGBT+ community, as well as helping family of those in the community learn to be affirming of gender and sexuality.

My Background and Approach

My approach is strength-centered and collaborative with a biopsychosocial lens. You are the expert on your life and experience. I can help you recognize and build protective factors for your mental health. Together we can process your past and learn how it informs the present. Therapy can help us see how our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. Validating ourselves and the way we feel is key to knowing how to heal from past wrongs. I have experience working in community-based care in the heart of Los Angeles. I actively work to decolonize my mental health practice in order to recognize the necessity of social and transformative justice.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

When signing up to work with me, you’re getting someone who loves Star Wars and finding that spark of hope, who has a never-ending mountain of to be read books, and who is always down to learn a new board game. I am a proud and out non-binary Butch therapist. Humor, memes, and cussing can absolutely have their place in a therapy sessions, and I’m most likely in a t-shirt espousing trans rights and a Dodgers cap. I'm not the right therapist for everyone, but if you like what I've written here, sign up for a free consultation to see if you'd like to work with me. Making the first phone call is nerve-wracking, but it is a great way to tell if you’ll feel comfortable meeting through telehealth. Go with your gut on this one! Some helpful questions to ask when consulting: “Have you worked with my diagnosis before? How long is each session, and how often? Are family and/or couple sessions possible?”

I offer online counseling in the following states:
