About My Clients

I enjoy working with a variety of people and issues they are dealing with on their journey of growth. I find particular enjoyment in working with people who fall into any of these identities: neurodivergent, non-monogamous, queer, trans and nonbinary, men, pagan/wicca/witch, geeks, and kinksters. When it comes to the issues people are dealing with, I am extra excited to work with people on: shame and guilt, trauma, identity exploration, gender issues, and self esteem.

My Background and Approach

I am white, queer, neurodivergent, and non-binary. Growing up, I struggled with feeling like I was an outsider. I didn’t feel like the other boys, but I didn’t feel like the girls either. I believed something must be wrong with me. It wasn’t until I was an adult that I realized I was queer and began to love who I am and what I bring to the world. Along the way, I have been supported and inspired by many other queer people in my life. Now, as a therapist, I am excited to give back as was done for me and support the healing journeys of queer, trans, non-binary, and 2SLGBTQIA+ folks. As a therapist, I walk with you on your exploration of new meanings within, connecting to your parts, and nurturing change. Each person has their own intersecting constellation of identities and experiences, and I’m excited to get to know each person I work with.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I was socialized as a man and taught that vulnerability was a sign of weakness. I bottled emotions up and avoided confiding in other men. At one point, I joined a men’s group and experienced the joy and liberation of men coming together to lovingly support one another emotionally. I believe that men supporting one another in healing and growth is an amazing, radical thing and I care deeply about facilitating that with men in therapy. Also, I am a huge geek! I love stories, movies, video games, walks, hikes, camping, and singing. If desired, I may give you a therapeutic video game or movie recommendation from time to time.
