About My Clients

While you will always remain the expert of “you,” I have experience with a wide range of clients. Some of these include: folks processing grief related to the pandemic, complex-trauma, liberation around gender, depression and anxiety symptoms, career obstacles, paid and unpaid care-work, and interpersonal relationships. I’ve had the pleasure to work with individuals and groups that are comprised of adults, individuals 65+, LGBQ+ & TGNC young people, and folks affected by the justice systems.

My Background and Approach

I graduated with my Master’s in Drama Therapy from New York University. Before that, I earned my BFA in Musical Theatre from Ithaca College. I personalize sessions to your needs and like to use a combination of talking and creative expression to tackle hard topics, get vulnerable and explore your unique strengths. My aim is for you to grow in self-awareness and to help you move toward the goals you set for yourself. I understand therapy is a road many have gone down before, but those who have not may be worried about what the journey will be like. Imagine I’m in the passenger seat of your car as you’re driving down memory lane, or up into an imaginary future full of ambitious goals and dreams. Even if the road gets bumpy, or the map flies out the window, I’m there to help you find your way; and the steering wheel is yours.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a white-bodied, cisgendered woman with invisible disabilities. I am a proud advocate and ally for LGBQIA+ individuals, and transgender and gender non-conforming folks. I believe in a trauma-informed, collaborative approach to therapy. I am continuously working to understand that as a therapist, I am complicit in a broken healthcare system in which individuals from many intersectional identities have experienced mistreatment and pain. While many have been harmed in relationship, therapy together may be an opportunity to heal in relationship. My aim is to hold that complexity alongside you, and work together to address wellness through the lens of systemic oppression.
