About My Clients
I work with Individuals experiencing transitional issues within the LGBTQ+ community. I work with my clients to help them explore their gender identity, overcome internalized shame and stigma, and develop the skills and resilience needed to thrive in a world that is often hostile to trans/gender non-conforming persons.
My Background and Approach
I received my Masters in Counseling from Idaho State University. Not long after graduating, the pandemic hit. I was able to assist clients experiencing these incredible life changes and challenges as a result of the great sociological impact from COVID. My experience is with families impacted by drug and alcohol abuse, individuals working through their addictions, teens experiencing houselessness and within the justice system, and young adults or adults moving into their next stages in life such a as career. My treatment modalities and interventions include: Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP), CBT, Existential, and ACT. Through a combination of evidence-based therapies, mindfulness-based and culturally responsive approaches, as well as an affirming approach to gender identity, I help my clients create meaningful lives that are true to who they are.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am an active member of the LGBTQ+ community. My focus is in integrating your various intersectional identities.
