About My Clients
I work with teens and adults who are dealing with stress and anxiety from the uncertainties in life. Whether it be school, work, past traumas, or living in capitalism, the pressures we deal with day-to-day can increase the feelings of anxiety, depression, and overwhelm. I help people find a sense of inner peace while navigating the healing process. You don't have to carry all of what you are dealing with alone.
My Background and Approach
My practice is collaborative, eclectic, and creative. I tend to use metaphor and humor as a part of my practice. I am trauma-aware, intuitive, and inquisitive. My style is accepting and curious, so I ask questions to understand patterns and the meaning of things. While I may have a lot of schooling and training, I honor that you bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise of your lived experience. I can offer a lot of different modalities but my most frequent interventions stem from narrative, family systems, and parts work. I am trained in EMDR, Brainspotting, EFT, IFS, Motivational Interviewing, and Gottman. I tend to draw from different relational, attachment-based, and trauma-aware models.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
We all have a story to tell about the things that have happened or didn't happen that should have happened and these stories shape our experiences. I work in a way that supports my clients in unpacking their stories and helps them to lighten the burden. We are often made to believe we are not good enough or don't have what we need to heal. I help clients recognize and uncover their truth and reconnect with their core self to see healing is possible. It is not a quick and easy process. Every person has their own timeline and desire for how long they would like to be in therapy. We work on that together.
