Clinical Social Worker in Seattle, WA

About My Clients

I work with youth and young adults ages 12-25. I take a non-judgemental, accepting stance and seek to validate the ways that you are trying to feel better and cope with pain and distress. You might be struggling with self-injury or suicidal ideation. In our work together, I’ll draw heavily from trauma-informed care, motivational interviewing, and harm reduction to honor your autonomy while promoting safety.

My Background and Approach

Therapy should be a space where every part of you belongs: where you feel connected, important, and seen. My hope is that over time, you will feel safe enough with me to feel into difficult and upsetting emotions. I will move towards you with curiosity, warmth, and acceptance so that we can go to those hard places together. In our work together, we will also play, be silly, and feel into and towards joy, excitement, and hope. Specializations: Developmental, complex, and intergenerational trauma, LGBTQIA2+ and QTBIPOC affirming, neurodiverse and disabled affirming, anxiety, depression, chronic suicidal ideation, and self-injury. Types of Therapy: Mindful Self-Compassion, attachment-based and relational therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and somatic and body-based interventions.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I care deeply about naming and validating the experiences my clients have with interpersonal and structural oppression including anti-Blackness, racism, colonialism, transphobia, homophobia, sanism, ableism, fatphobia, and other forces that privilege whiteness and normative identities. I strive to show up as pro-Black and work from a liberatory health framework. As we work together, I will ask you to provide feedback for me so that I can take steps to repair and strengthen our alliance. When I get things wrong, I want to know. I believe that apology and repair are crucial for building trust and accountability. It is my responsibility to hear and respond to your concerns to ensure that you are getting the care you deserve.
