About My Clients
I’m here to help those who have been called, or might consider themselves a "highly-sensitive" individual. The sensitivity might be a result from experiencing trauma, a chronic illness or due to sensory processing difficulties. Specifically, I have experience and a passion to support those with Autism, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorders, and Chronic Illnesses. In therapy, clients are looking for a safe space to process their life experiences.
My Background and Approach
Elizabeth has over 10 years of experience providing therapeutic work that includes; early intervention/developmental and child-led therapy for autistic children, coping with chronic illnesses such as Cancer and/or complex pain, working with adolescents through young adulthood with complex trauma and history of abuse, and those who have been late diagnosed with Autism and/or ADHD. Elizabeth aims to support individuals continue with their self-exploration; to build confidence, seek possible accommodations, manage any related chronic illness, and to identify coping strategies for when life feels a bit too much. No two people are alike, especially when involving individual needs and concerns. Being a “neurodivergent" advocate, counselor and credentialed Art Therapist, allows Elizabeth to work with a personal understanding with those who may need a non-traditional approach in therapy or work-place dynamics; because some days we need to create and other days we need to regulate!
