About My Clients

Many of my clients come to therapy feeling stuck—navigating anxiety, trauma, identity shifts, or relationship conflicts. My niche is working with adolescents and adults to untangle family dynamics, heal intergenerational trauma, and break recurring patterns. Many are exploring LGBTQIA+ identity, seeking a deeper sense of self, determined to improve communication in their relationships, and wanting to increase their tolerance to emotional distress using practical tools.

My Background and Approach

Grounded in Family Systems Theory, I help adolescents and adults explore how inherited patterns, family dynamics, and emotional responses shape their relationships and sense of self. My approach is integrative, drawing from CBT, DBT and attachment-based therapy to help clients develop skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, coping, and boundary-setting. Beyond traditional talk therapy, I integrate creative and somatic interventions, including art-based techniques, polyvagal theory, and sound healing, as expressive and mind-body practices can be powerful tools for self-discovery, stress reduction, and emotional release. I believe that as the client, you are the expert of your own experience. Each session is tailored to meet clients in the here-and-now, ensuring a personalized and responsive approach. For couples, I use Emotionally Focused Therapy to foster radical transparency, helping monogamous and polyamorous relationships break unhealthy cycles and deepen connection.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, and center my work around creating a welcoming space for others and deepening my knowledge of cultural diversity and social justice. I believe a person's natural emotional reaction to living under multiple systems of oppression (which are different for all of us depending on individual proximity to privilege) is one of anxiety, hopelessness, fear, anger, and stress, to name just a few. I approach therapy from the understanding that there are systems larger than us that affect our ability to properly heal. I center my work around trauma-informed, culturally-sensitive, and holistic approaches that are both affirmative and inclusive. My practice is sex-positive, kink-affirming, inclusive of all genders, sexual identities and expressions, races, cultural backgrounds, abilities, sizes, and religious or spiritual beliefs. My goal is to honor and support each person’s unique experiences.
