About My Clients
I work with individuals facing mental health and co-occurring disorders, using diverse modalities and goal-setting to tackle daily challenges. I do so with empathy, an open mind, and a non-judgmental attitude, creating a safe and supportive environment for them to explore their emotions and experiences. My goal is to foster understanding, acceptance, and growth as individuals, and couples, navigate through their various challenges.
My Background and Approach
I have a background in individual therapy and couple's counseling. I received my master's degree in Forensic Mental Health Counseling from John Jay College, and received my bachelor's in Psychology from Binghamton University. I began my career at a community-based outpatient rehabilitation center, where I was able to put my knowledge of psychology and forensic populations to use. Now, I use my education and background to provide telehealth-based counseling to individuals and couples by normalizing discussions around mental health and providing a supportive environment. I aim to encourage individuals I work with to seek the help they need without fear or shame, ultimately promoting overall well-being and resilience. My goal is to help people become the best, most genuine, versions of themselves they can be
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy is a powerful way to process real human emotions in an action-oriented, goal-driven way. It helps normalize mental health struggles, showing that no one has to face these challenges alone.
