About My Clients
I specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ folks who have experienced trauma. I am also passionate about supporting folks who are neurodivergent. Reduced fee for BIPOC/LGBTQIA+ available.
My Background and Approach
I offer traditional talk-therapy. I also utilize Somatic Experiencing techniques in my work, a therapeutic modality which supports clients in releasing trauma that is stored in the body's nervous system. The care that I provide is trauma-informed, LGBTQ+ affirmative, anti-ableist, anti-racist, and celebrates neurodiversity.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I identify as a queer, liberal, atheist therapist. I am the parent of a bi-racial child and am part of a bi-racial couple. I am anti-ABA and value neurodiversity. As a white, cis-woman, I am aware of my privilege and am committed to social/racial justice and dismantling white supremacy and systemic oppression in my personal life and work. I identify as part of a community of people who are "still COVIDing". This means that I continue to mask indoors in public and to take precautions to protect the health and wellbeing of my family and others. I continue to practice telehealth due to the COVID-19 pandemic. I do not provide in-person services at this time. Working with me may be a fit if you also identify as part of the "still COVIDing" community. Areas of focus may be processing how the pandemic continues to impact your relationships, challenges around navigating COVID-19 precautions in your personal life, professional life, and navigating pandemic burnout.
