About My Clients
I primarily work with individuals who often feel misunderstood or marginalized, particularly neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ individuals and couples. I am most comfortable treating conditions such as complex PTSD, depression, anxiety, and challenges related to identity and interpersonal relationships.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic approach centers on developing self-awareness by connecting present experiences to past events, including interpersonal, family, societal, and systemic influences. I utilize evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems Therapy, and the Gottman Method.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My journey to becoming a therapist was deeply influenced by my own experiences as an autistic and ADHD individual who has navigated complex PTSD and identifies as gay, gray-ace/aceflux, and demisexual. Growing up, I often felt like I didn't fit into the conventional mold, experiencing feelings of shame and isolation. Over time, I discovered that embracing and expressing my authentic self was profoundly transformative. This realization inspired me to help others break the silence around their own identities and challenges. What drives me is the commitment to creating a safe and nurturing space where clients feel empowered to share, explore, and embrace who they truly are.
