About My Clients
I aim to hold space for LGBTQIA+, neurodivergent, and BIPOC folx, and anyone affected by fatphobia, xenophobia, ableism, or the White supremacist capitalist patriarchy. Here, we can untangle experiences of marginalization, complex trauma, and difficulties stemming from depression, anxiety, stress, life transitions, gender dysphoria, and other mental health conditions. I also work with adult adoptees on adoption/separation trauma. I am kink/poly/sex-work affirming.
My Background and Approach
I conceptualize mental health and marginalization through social models — you are not defective, but rather, society lacks adequate structures of support. With a non-pathologizing approach, I help folx develop authenticity, self-advocacy, boundaries, and coping skills. Within the trans community specifically, I provide gender-affirming surgery assessments and letters. If we choose to work together, our relationship will center collaboration, consent, and autonomy in each step. I want you to feel empowered in the care you receive. You are the expert of your own life. Therapy is *your* space to work on what *you* want, explore your needs and identities. It is my hope that seeds of shameless radical self-acceptance can be planted. My style involves examining how your past experiences have shaped your worldview through narrative, person-centered, trauma-informed, and social justice-oriented approaches. I have been working in the field since 2019. I hold a Master of Science in Counseling.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I support the following: Black Lives Matter, Stop Asian Hate, Land Back, adoptee rights, reproductive rights, autistic self advocacy, and neurodiversity acceptance. As queer and trans person of color, I stand in solidarity with those who are oppressed and minoritized. I am staunchly against racism, fascism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, White supremacy, xenophobia, Islamophobia, Sinophobia, antisemitism, Nazism, fatphobia, ableism, and any form of oppression or hateful beliefs.
