About My Clients
I offer a range of therapeutic services to individuals, couples, and families. I also run short-term groups for men who wish to become more accountable in their relationships. Some therapists believe in this idea of "populations", however I find it a bit silly to reduce a person to a particular psychological label, construct or diagnosis. I have always, and will always, work with anyone regardless of circumstance, diagnosis, dilemma, or problem they may be facing in life.
My Background and Approach
I use a literary, or story, based approach in my work. Within the realm of your lived experiences lies countless lessons, treasures, protests, refusals, and aspects of a life lived on purpose that I believe has the potential to transform your life in relation to your problems. At the conclusion of each session, rather than just a case note that is kept in the dark, I write a personal letter summarizing the accounts of what you are up against, how have responded, and why this matters to you. My former clients have referred to these letters as roadmaps in life; they find you when you need them most, and give a personal direction towards what you hope for most in life. With couples, I use an approach directly under the founder of the model "relational accountability". With families, I employ a six-session model that is found on the website listed in the bio.
