About My Clients

As a counselor I strive for a calm, compassionate, empathetic and authentic energy. Life is hard, messy and sometimes even chaotic. Whether you're going through a bout of depression, heightened anxiety, experiencing something that you feel completely stuck in and need a different perspective, working through a change you want to make in your life; I strongly believe that everyone has the capacity within themselves to see hope again when it was once lost. You are not alone in your journey.

My Background and Approach

As a person who identifies as a queer, neurodivergent, non-binary counselor I have several years experience working with folx within those communities. I take an existential-humanistic approach with an anti-racist, social justice and holistic lens which means I see the client being the expert on their own life and I am there alongside them in support of their healing journey. I incorporate an eclectic variety of modalities that is unique to each individual as we work collaboratively in session. I graduated from Lewis and Clark College in 2024 with a Masters of Arts in Professional Mental Health Counseling specializing in Addictions along with being a Certified Eco-Therapist. I've been working in the mental health field since 2019 and enjoy bringing in humor, authenticity, creativity and nature into the room to help build towards a strong therapeutic relationship. Some of the modalities incorporate are DBT skills, attachment theory, MI and creative interventions.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a queer, neurodivergent counselor I know how challenging it can be to embrace resilience, self compassion and patience with yourself when life is filled with struggles that are coming from all different directions and it feels exhausting to just exist. I also have found through my hard times in life that there's always some glimmer of hope, it can just take some time to see and feel that within yourself. Throughout my hard times in life, I've found value in leaning into community, connection, nature, animals and just allowing fun to be present in life. I also value authenticity, communication, creativity, personal growth and learning. It feels very fulfilling to me to be able to provide others with support and resources and to be able to hold the hope for others when they feel like it's lost. I've been in that place and I know that hope can be found again. In my free time you can find me crafting, being in nature, playing games, and connecting with chosen family and my partner.
