About My Clients
My passion is to work with children, families, adolescents and adults with diverse mental health issues and challenges. I have experience working in the community with multicultural and diverse groups such as LGBTQ and HIgh functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder. I speak fluent English and Spanish , and have used it in counseling. I believe in empowering my clients and helping them to recognize their strengths.
My Background and Approach
I have worked in the community with various populations including families, children, adolescents, and adults. i have approximately 11rs. experience. Empowering clients by providing a safe place where individuals can share their true selves. My approach is eclectic. I will help you to recognize your strengths and develop different strategies to cope with life's challenges. My goal is for you to feel empowered and to recognize you have the strength to manage life's challenges or stress. I will use a variety of therapeutic methods in my toolbox to help you become a healthy happy human being.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that people can change, if they want to. In my experience, change is also a decision, because you have to decide that you're going to do what is required to change. For example, if the "change" means listening to someone, or changing the way you speak to someone even though it doesn't sound wrong to you. .. I believe that everyone has strengths, and that sometimes people need help in recognizing their strengths. I don't discriminate at all . I am hispanic and I remember when I was in school. . I also have Autistic and Intellectually Disabled sister. I support multicultural community activities,LGBTQ community and Autism Spectrum Disorder and other Disabilities.. because I believe these to be very important causes. I have worked with these communities and I feel strongly about providing the best same care.
