My Background and Approach
I integrate both standard talk therapy that helps to reframe thoughts, emotions, and behaviors with somatic practices, to acknowledge how emotions and memories show up as sensations in the body. I regularly use art centered processing, as well. As a trauma-informed therapist, I prioritize a client’s sense of safety, so initial sessions will focus on building awareness, safety, before moving into more depth-oriented work. While working together, I will show up in a deeply authentic way so that you may feel safe to do the same. Our work is centered in honoring your mind & body exactly where you are.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Learning to find comfort in laughter & basking in joy are cornerstones of my practice and I look forward to welcoming you to join me. I aim to provide a space for individuals with diverse backgrounds & life experiences to find affirmation of your authentic self, uplift your personal values, and learns skill to self-soothe in and out of the therapy room.
