About My Clients
These days, life is hard. There is so much uncertainty and sadness. These feelings often can be overwhelming. You learned to cope before, but this time it's different, and the skills just aren't working. If this resonates for you, I would love to share an approach that focuses on full healing of body and mind. I work with adults (18+) dealing with varying presenting issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, grief/loss, life transitions, binge eating, and panic/fear.
My Background and Approach
You are here today which shows your strength and resilience. You probably already have ways you cope in your "coping toolbox". My goal is to help you expand on those tools and teach you new techniques or strategies. My approach is warm, accepting and relatable while also gently challenging. I consider therapy to be one of the most unique relationships that involves the therapist providing an outside perspective and the client leaning into their own strengths and internal resources. My experience in providing that type of support has included my education, training, supervision, and connection with others in the field.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I came into this profession with the belief that change is possible no matter who you are or where you come from. I have worked in crisis intervention, suicide prevention and case management and have seen how much it matters to just listen, advocate and support. I feel drawn to working with trauma survivors, college students, and first responders. I know firsthand how difficult it can be to suffer from anxiety and want to teach you the tools I have learned that has helped me regain control.
