About My Clients

Feeling stressed, anxious, unsure of yourself? Experienced trauma and don't know how to heal and move forward? Struggling with finding relationships that feel good and meaningful? I help individuals and couples/relationships feel seen, safe, and understood while gaining skills for navigating our often isolating, unsafe, and stressful world. We'll compassionately explore your story, identities, values, and ways of surviving and coping to figure out what's working and what you want to change.

My Background and Approach

Therapy is a real relationship between real people. Having experiences as both therapist and client, I know how important it is to feel safe, seen, and supported. What we explore is important, and doing so in a trusting and collaborative relationship is vital for healing. Sometimes we get stuck. We can feel overwhelmed, anxious, depressed. We find ourselves repeating patterns in relationships and behaviors that leave us feeling unhappy. Wherever you’re at, your current experience is not a life sentence. With nearly 10 years of experience with clients, I am lucky enough to again and again witness healing, growth, and change through therapy. I would love to walk with you and be a part of your journey. We all need space to wander—to be creative, slow down, and (re)connect to our truest selves. We'll balance exploration of your story with skill building to help you feel capable of coping with stress and trauma responses as you move toward thriving and living authentically.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe each of us is deeply worthy of love and belonging. I also know we are each deserving and capable of living meaningful lives. Many of my most meaningful healing experiences happened in relationships. Often these occurred when I was initially uncomfortable and needed encouragement to be fully seen and trust the support being offered. As a member of the queer/LGBTQ+ community, I live with both joy and celebration that come with community as well with the realities of oppression, discrimination, and our interconnected liberation. As Fannie Lou Hamer said, “Nobody’s free until everybody’s free.” All of our identities—including race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, size, ability, age, and other factors—impact how we see ourselves and how others treat us. The realities of all oppressions must be acknowledged and fought against. Actively. Repeatedly. I'm in this fight for the long haul. Being human is messy. You don’t have to do this alone. I would love to connect.
