About My Clients
I specialize in helping young adults (20s through mid-40s) learn how to manage anxiety, set boundaries, strengthen interpersonal and communication skills, develop greater self-compassion, increase confidence, regulate emotions and challenge negative self-talk. I am currently seeing clients in my central Astoria office.
My Background and Approach
Depression, anxiety and trauma can interfere with our relationships, creativity, spontaneity and work. I utilize a collaborative, individualized approach to treating these issues, and teach practical coping skills using a blend of warmth, focus, compassion and humor. Much of my work centers around helping people learn and strengthen interpersonal skills so they feel prepared to set healthy boundaries, resulting in improved relationships, reduced stress and better work/life balance.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that a strong therapeutic alliance is the not-so-secret ingredient to success in therapy. I aim to create an atmosphere that is accepting, compassionate, non-judgmental, safe, and even a little fun. I feel very lucky to love what I do for a living, and have had the privilege of counseling hundreds of New Yorkers in both my private practice and community-based clinics.
