About My Clients
I'm a trauma specialist, with an emphasis in social justice. I work with PTSD/complex PTSD, DID, depression, anxiety, mood/emotional dysregulation. I specialize in BIPOC and LGBTQ populations, and somatic interventions and processing for trauma. **Reduced rate spots available.**
My Background and Approach
You can change your life. I view my role as guiding that process, to help you identify and process things that might be getting in the way of you becoming the best version of yourself. My work is based on hope, and a strong belief in every person's ability to change, grow, and heal themselves. I tailor the therapeutic experience to the client, but generally find success with somatic interventions, mindfulness, narrative, experiential, behavioral, emotion-focused process work, and yoga, influenced by Zen philosophy of acceptance, non-attachment, self-kindness, and non-judgment, and I feel strongly that therapeutic collaboration with clients is crucial to treatment. I'm originally from the Midwest but have lived on the East and West Coasts, so I talk fast and swear a lot, with clients who are comfortable with that. I've been in Portland for over a decade now, and I'm still not quite used to a winter without snow or a summer without humidity. I share a space with 3 (loud) cats.
