About My Clients

You’re feeling worn down all the time and the stress is impacting your physical and mental health. Face masks and bubble baths aren’t cutting it anymore-It’s time for real self care. I work with populations including those who come from traumatic backgrounds and people dealing with LGBTQ specific concerns. Let’s work together to build your vision for spiritual, emotional, and biological wellbeing.

My Background and Approach

I believe in combining evidence based technique and individuality to create a safe, welcoming environment for you to be yourself, even if you’re not sure who that is right now. My background in psychological research helps me deliver up to date and multifaceted care while my social work training helps me tailor therapy to your individual needs. I use Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Somatic, and EMDR techniques. I might be the therapist for you if you’re trying to find that right mix of “the whole body approach” and science that works. My goal in working with you is to process past memories, learn how to cope with present stressors, and create a solid foundation for the future. Our work together will always be trauma literate, sex/body positive, spiritually open, LGBTQ affirming, and kink/sex-worker allied.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

It's important to find someone you vibe with in order to find a genuine healing connection. However, some clients prefer to know very little about their therapist. To respect both of these views I will keep this section broad but feel free to ask me in more depth about values that are important for you. I am a trans/bi/ace affirming member of the LGBTQIA+ community. I am pro choice and can provide a non-judgmental space to process events such as abortion and selective sterilization. I believe that trauma comes in many forms other than PTSD and you have a right to process and work through those events. As a therapist, I am okay with self-disclosure if it benefits the therapeutic process and feel free to ask me any further questions you need to.
