About My Clients
Sometimes we need change in life, whether it be the way we respond to or handle our problems. You may be a good candidate for psychotherapy if you are finding it difficult to engage in life the way you like, whether it's due to intrusive memories, feelings of sadness, shame or guilt, or disconnection from people in your life. Although change is difficult, it is possible. Feeling stuck in a pattern of behaviors or emotions is tough, but there often is a way out.
My Background and Approach
I practice primarily from a cognitive-behavioral lens, but also work from a patient-centered approach meaning that we will work together to tackle your problems. I have experience in treating a variety of mental health problems, particularly posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and addictive behaviors. I am also committed to helping people who are experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, or going through difficult life transitions. My approach is evidence-based, and always compassionate. My aim is to help my patients reach their goals and live fulfilling lives. I believe that therapy should be goal-oriented, meaning that when we meet, we will collaborate to create achievable and attainable goals that can be reached through the process of therapy. We will use our sessions to begin achieving these goals, and I will encourage you to continue working towards these changes by practicing skills outside of sessions.
