About My Clients

It seems like no one understands you, and sometimes that someone includes you. You are tired of feeling disconnected and out of touch with yourself and the world. Afraid to trust, to believe, to hope. Bending and contorting into what you think you “should” be. Worried what would happen if people knew the “real” you. Feeling lost and like you are missing out, because everyone else seems to get it, and you don’t. And you are ready for change. I'm glad you are here.

My Background and Approach

I specialize in treating Trauma, working with those in LGBTQ2SIA+ communities, and supporting people through life transitions. My style is eclectic, drawing from several modalities to provide the best services for you. This approach allows more freedom and creativity in approaching your goals while accounting for your unique needs. I am trained in CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), and IFS informed for treating trauma. I also draw from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), and Intersectional Feminism. I am a Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker in Oregon and Washington State and I’ve been a clinical social worker for over 20 years. My goal is to support, hear, and help you figure out what you need to grow and thrive.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy is a collaborative space to find support, a respite from the chaos, and a place to catch your breath. I trust that you know yourself, even if you are still figuring it out. Therapy provides tools to make change in your life. And on the other side? It is you – unhidden, free, authentic, amazing. Being honest with ourselves and sharing who we are changes things. The ways they change depends on your current relationships, belief systems, family, and community beliefs. Therapy helps you find your footing, adjust to change, and forge a path forward. I work from an anti-racist, intersectional, affirmative and social justice lens. I affirm all gender identities, sexual orientations, relationship configurations, neurodiversity and am body and sex positive.
