About My Clients
My ideal client’s goals are to deepen their self-understanding, develop healthier coping strategies, and cultivate a sense of harmony in their relationships and daily life. Many of my clients also find solace in exploring the therapeutic potential of nature, whether through walk-and-talk therapy or connecting with the outdoors as a space for reflection and healing.
My Background and Approach
As a psychologist, I specialize in creating a supportive, collaborative environment where clients can explore life’s challenges and work toward meaningful growth. My approach integrates evidence-based techniques with a deep appreciation for the unique experiences and values each person brings. I offer individual therapy tailored to your needs, whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, identity exploration, or the pressures of high-performance environments. For athletes and those with active lifestyles, I bring an understanding of the mental and emotional demands of sports and can help you find balance while optimizing your well-being. In addition to traditional in-office therapy, I may also provide walk-and-talk sessions, leveraging the calming and restorative benefits of nature to help you gain clarity and perspective. This nature-based approach can be especially powerful for those seeking a fresh way to engage in therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a psychologist, I strive to create a compassionate and inclusive space where individuals can explore their unique challenges and strengths. My Christian faith deeply informs my values of kindness, grace, and service, and I welcome conversations about spirituality or religion with those from any type of religious or non-religious background In addition to my private practice, I work at the University of Washington Counseling Center and have developed programs like outdoor walk-and-talk therapy to combine the healing power of nature with psychological support. I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, exploring trails, and staying active through sports, which all help me find balance and perspective. I’m passionate about supporting those navigating life transitions, identity development, and mental health challenges, and I’m committed to walking alongside you with empathy and understanding as you move toward your goals.
