My Background and Approach
I earned my Master of Social Work at Florida International University and have 13+ years of experience in the field, involving hospital and community practice. I specialize in client-centered therapy with individuals in several marginalized communities including but not limited to LGBTQIA+, LatinX & BIPOC, trauma, neuro-divergent, addiction, and the elderly. Ultimately, I believe that we all have our own story, and it is okay to seek guidance when attempting to navigate and understand that self-directed narrative. Someone did it for me and it helped me gain deeper insight into myself. I would be honored to do the same for you.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a member of the LGBTQ community and an advocate for the homeless community. I utilize a client-centered approach in my practice within a holistic, atheistic and spiritual lens. I believe meaning and purpose is intrinsic and thus stripped of societal expectations and norms. This notion I believe empowers the individual to derive their own meaning to experiences, which creates their own standardized values/morals and belief systems.
