About My Clients
You are deserving of love, peace and validation. In our work together, we will spend time building a safe space to explore your identity, anxiety, depression, and trauma. You will become an expert in your emotions. You will learn to cope with intrusive thoughts. You will build resilience to face whatever this world throws at you. Our goal together is to increase confidence in your decision making, build and maintain new relationships, and develop and grow your sense of self.
My Background and Approach
I have a bachelors degree in Marketing, and a masters degree in counseling psychology. I have 14 years of career experiences including a career shift. My experiences and work have informed how I like to help and work with clients. I utilize a casual approach to therapy. We will laugh, cry, and share moments of growth. I provide an accepting space for you to be, do, and say whatever is authentic to you. I use several techniques that help challenge negative self talk, encourage self compassion and acceptance, and build coping skills to manage the day to day challenges. You are the expert of your life, and I am the tool.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that suffering is the catalyst for change. Mindfulness is an effective tool for navigating the suffering and provides an integration of our mind and our body. We spend so much time in our heads that we forget to be in our bodies. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is a powerful tool for growth and change. At the end of the day, we are both human. The humanness of therapy is powerful. Let's walk together in the shit.
