About My Clients
I work with those who are entering adolescence or early adulthood - many of which have experienced complex traumatic events. Though we all may conjure up different meanings and images of what trauma is, I am here to listen and work through anything that disrupted the life you were having OR thought you would have for yourself. My clients often present with concerns pertaining to: Unmet expectations from family, friends, relationships, or life in general.
My Background and Approach
I often utilize techniques and interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems & more. While this may feel a bit clinical, the humanistic part of my approach is rooted in transparency and honesty. While I hold hope that any previous therapeutic experiences have been nothing but amazing; however, if it has been anything but amazing- your hesitation and hurt is valid. I hope that through collaboration together, we are able to further validate your previous experiences while crafting a new perspective of what Because I work with some of the most sensitive issues one can experience, I commit to the following: -We will establish safety before jumping into the darker parts of it all -I will help you put words and insights to your triggers -I will guide you to see your brain/body connection so that you can stop ignoring the signs your body is giving you
