About My Clients
My ideal clients are the ones who are outside the box, struggling with discovering who they are and where they fit in the world not built for them. I specialize with folx struggling with an eating disorder both separate from and intersecting with gender dysphoria.
My Background and Approach
In my practice, I blend traditional "talk therapy" (CBT) with elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). This approach engages both mind and body, fostering a deeper understanding of self and empowering you to create and share the life you desire. Recognizing that our challenges stem from both internal and external sources, I integrate harm-reduction and systems theories into our sessions, providing a holistic view of your experiences. I specialize in individual therapy for teens and adults navigating gender dysphoria, eating disorders/disordered eating, self-harm, and chronic mental health conditions. In family therapy, I excel at facilitating structured sessions to enhance communication and resolve conflicts. Additionally, I enjoy collaborating with consensually non-monogamous, queer, or questioning folx in partner therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Drawing from both personal and professional experiences, I bring a unique level of empathy and understanding to therapeutic spaces. I firmly believe that within each of us lies the potential for a fulfilling and meaningful life, even if it's not immediately apparent. Together, we'll uncover the tools you possess and harness them to overcome obstacles and achieve your goals.
