About My Clients
In my practice I work with adults who are typically interested in developing a positive therapeutic relationship where they feel heard and validated. I have specialized in the following, anxiety, depression, stress and trauma, interpersonal relationship challenges, work-life stress, and life transitions. The therapeutic process can offer someone a safe space to increase their understanding about common mental health conditions and effective coping strategies.
My Background and Approach
I have been dedicated to diverse and inclusive experiences, as I have worked as a vocational rehabilitation counselor serving individuals with physical, mental and sensory-processing disorders, to providing case management and therapeutic services within community mental health agencies. I formalized training and experience with cognitive behavioral therapy for anxiety, depression, trauma and psychosis. I have also been trained in a mind-body technique called Brainspotting. Brainspotting is technique used to improve a number of mental health conditions, and performance and relationship issues.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I am a first generation Latinx college student, born and raised in Central Washington. I'm an ally and member of the LGBTQ+ community. I look for ways to give back to the community. Most recently, I have volunteered with the Greater Seattle Business Association. With this organization I assisted with their scholarship program. I read through a number of applications for their scholarship and served on their interview panel to interview potential scholarship recipients.
