About My Clients
I have worked with clients ranging in age from 18 to 74 years old. I believe that the best client is someone who wants to put in the work to become their best and most authentic self. I excel in working with people dealing with depression, anxiety, life transitions, and grief. I have experienced all of these things and believe that I have the capability to form a therapeutic bond with my clients like no other.
My Background and Approach
I am a true example that you can change your life at any age. I went back to school to become a therapist at the age of 43. My father was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia, and I knew that I needed to change my life focus. I am proud to say that I earned a 4.0 at Northeastern Illinois University while also making a positive impact on my 20 clients that I maintained the entire year of my internship. I specialize in Narrative Therapy, but am adept at many therapies that suit my clients.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have been an ally to the LGBTQ community since I began as a performer in musical theater at the young age of 14. I continued to have a career in musical theatre in Chicago until the age of 34. I am also a BLM supporter/ally and am an animal rights activist. I have been adopting kitties from shelters for 25 years. I am also a feminist who received my Women Studies Minor from Bradley University in 1998. I've been fighting for equality my entire life and will never stop.
