About My Clients
Are you feeling stuck when it comes to having sex? Do you feel that a therapist won't understand you when you tell them you are kinky? I work with folks across the entire LGBTQIA spectrum as well as individuals who don't feel they "fit" within societies view of how you should live your life.
My Background and Approach
I completed my Masters in Social Work at Loyola University Chicago. I specialize in working with the following communities: LGBTQ+, gender diverse, consensual non-monogamy (CNM), and I am kink/BDSM-affirming. Previously I was a Research Project Coordinator at Northwestern University, where I provided trauma-informed training & technical assistance to Chicago-based mental health organizations.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a queer therapist, I believe there is no one “right way” to live our lives. This is the same for therapy, there is no "right way". I believe we all have the power to harness our strengths and find the path that gives us the most meaning and purpose. Clients are the expert in their own life - each person has the tools and skills to solve their problems, though sometimes may need some outside help to find those tools and learn those skills. Together we can create a therapeutic alliance that is conducive towards self-discovery, growth, and fulfilling your potential while honoring your history, resiliency, values, and beliefs.
