About My Clients

Are your emotions sometimes feeling too intense to handle? Maybe past experiences are still affecting your daily life, or you're struggling with an eating disorder or self-harm to cope with strong feelings. Maybe you're parenting a teen who's dealing with these same concerns or exploring their gender/sexuality. Your struggles are valid, and healing is possible. I understand the unique challenges faced by BIPOC, LGBTQIA2S+ individuals, and neurodivergent people, and I am here to support you.

My Background and Approach

I believe in the power of working with a therapist who truly understands your experiences. I've walked my own path of healing and now use my personal experience and professional training to help others do the same. I provide individual therapy to adults and adolescents (age 13+) and parent-child family therapy sessions. You'll find a safe, judgment-free space to be yourself in our work together. To truly address and heal from trauma, it’s important to understand how your emotions, experience, and body interact. This is why I incorporate psychoeducation about how all of these things work. In individual therapy, we'll work at your pace to develop practical coping strategies while addressing the deeper roots of your challenges through both cognitive and somatic techniques. I offer family therapy to help parents and teens navigate conflict with a focus on everyone feeling heard, addressing trauma's effects on the family, and creating solutions that will reduce conflict in the long term.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy clients are more than people who need "fixing." We're shaped by factors beyond our control - family dynamics, life circumstances, and daily systems. Humans possess remarkable resilience; our brains can heal from trauma, develop healthy coping mechanisms, and build nurturing relationships to create fulfilling lives. I support harm reduction for managing unwanted behaviors. I recognize that completely stopping all unwanted behaviors isn't always feasible or accessible. My focus is enhancing safety and addressing underlying issues, avoiding police involvement or involuntary commitment unless absolutely necessary or client-requested. My practice affirms LGBTQIA2S+ identities, ENM/polyamory, kink, sex work, body positivity, disability justice, and both spiritual and non-spiritual paths. We stand against racism, anti-Blackness, discrimination, and diet culture.
