About My Clients
Your anxiety or stress may be compounded by intersectional identities such as gender, sexuality, or race. You may find yourself doom scrolling on social media in order to numb the world around you, have difficulty communicating with loved ones, or are searching for your sense of self after years of being told your true self was not enough.
My Background and Approach
Working together, we can work to embrace all the parts that makeup you. My hope for each client that enters this space is to leave with the knowledge that they deserve to take up space in the world, to have opinions, and even make mistakes. I work to give you the tools to build self-compassion. My work is rooted in an anti-racist, LGBTQIA-affirming, feminist, and body-positive framework; allowing space for you in a compassionate and non-judgmental setting. I utilize many approaches including ACT and EMDR.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that although some of us may belong to the same communities, we are not a monolith. Despite my identity being intersectional, I have no idea what the next Hispanic, queer, trans person has experienced. I believe that everyone has the right to have something in their life that brings their inner child joy. For me, Star Wars is my favorite thing in the galaxy (see what I did there?) and interacting with the community brings me joy. What’s healing your inner child?
