About My Clients
You struggle with how you see and feel about yourself. You never feel like you are “enough.” You are swimming in self-doubt and all you see are your imperfections. The inner critic that lives in your head is always on overdrive. Sometimes you just wish it would let up for a bit so you could have a moment of peace. It hurts to treat yourself this way, but you don't know another way to be. What would it be like if you weren't constantly berating yourself?
My Background and Approach
My work focuses on helping people understand themselves in greater depth so they feel empowered to relate to themselves in a different way. It takes courage to look at yourself in depth, but doing so is necessary for lasting change. Together, we will get to the heart of why you see yourself the way you do. I specialize and have advanced training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy, which focuses on helping you understand how you came to see yourself and others the way you do. It also focused on exploring patterns in thoughts, feelings, and relationships that may be occurring outside of awareness but impacting your day-to-day life. Clients appreciate my compassionate, yet interactive and straightforward approach to therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have a passion for supporting and affirming members of the LGBTQIA+ community. I also practice from a social justice and antiracist lens.
