About My Clients
Do you feel frozen by anxiety or depression, worried about being neuro-divergent in a neuro-typical world? Does your image of yourself, mentally, physically or in the world at large not match what you feel it should? If you've been thinking about starting therapy but aren't sure if it's the right time, it IS the right time. My practice brings no judgment, no hidden strings, just a desire to help others feel heard and work through any problems presented.
My Background and Approach
I have been working as an LPC-A since 2020 and the beginning of the pandemic. I graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with my bachelors (English and Religion), and then graduated with a Masters in Counseling from Amberton University. I have experience working with women, men, couples, the LGBTQIA+ spectrum, neurodiversity, and am currently seeking certification as a Geek Therapist. I like to work with clients to help them find the approach that works best for them -- one size rarely fits all.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone has the capacity to grow in a healthy manner, even if that's not what they're first used to. It is never too late to change attitudes and behaviors to ensure you a more positive and uplifting life. I proudly stand with the LGBTQIA+ community, and try my best to be an active ally for BIPOC. I'm a proud feminist, and have a varied set of lifestyles in my life from friends and family both. "Know thyself" is a cornerstone not just with my practice, but with my everyday life.
