About My Clients
I believe in the transformational nature of community and the process of intentional repair within relationships. I work with clients to better understand how various systems of oppression impact and serve as barriers to how we show up in relationship with ourselves, others, land, and more. I know you hold deep, intergenerational wisdom and my role is to facilitate your innate ability to connect with and allow it to move you.
My Background and Approach
My background includes individuals living with trauma, dissociation, anxiety, depression, gender and/or racial identity development, personality disorders, life transitions, and relationship concerns, including intimate partner violence. I enjoy working with adults and relationship structures of all forms. I prioritize using trauma-informed and relational approaches, which may include Internal Family Systems Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and attachment-based approaches. I utilize somatic interventions as well when appropriate. Regardless of my approach, I incorporate abolitionist principles to this work.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that everyone is inherently worthy of relationship and connection to themselves, others, and the world around them. We are inextricably connected. I also hold that therapy does not occur in a vacuum and is, therefore, inherently a political space. I know from my own lived experience how difficult it can be to find care that is safe enough to say your deepest grief and longings, especially for Black, queer, TGNC, and disabled community members. You are deserving of being held, softly, and without judgement or expectation.
