About My Clients

Are you interested in integrating your love of knitting, crocheting, mending, or other soft arts into your self-care? Would you like to explore ways that you can use these interests to settle your body, practice mindfulness, or even work through hard things from the past or present? Do you find yourself uninterested in viewing your emotional well-being and personhood solely through a pathological lens? Do you want a gentle therapist who believes that you know yourself better than anyone else?

My Background and Approach

I offer individual therapy session for adults, and specialize in work with Queer individuals. I offer a neuro-affirming approach with specialized training in polyvagal practices and EMDR. I am especially enthusiastic about the use of calming creative hobbies and art forms in therapy and continuously study the benefits of knitting on the mind and body.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

The phrase “Radical radical softness is a boundless form of resistance” is one that I revisit often, and live by. I believe representation, lived experience, and solidarity are essential in therapeutic relationships. It’s hard to feel safe or understood when you’re educating your therapist on say, Queerness. I believe that white body supremacy harms us all and that traditional carceral systems of “care” serve no one. I believe that "we keep us safe" and that peer support and adequate resources for living are significant determinants of our well-being.
