In general, my approach is pretty eclectic. I don't subscribe to the idea that one therapeutic modality rules above all others. Instead I like to embrace a strengths-based perspective and utilize ideas from all kinds of modalities as appropriate. I love engaging in conversation, poking at things and asking questions to learn more and explore other perspectives. I encourage people to think about what went right, using that as a foundation to build off of. I believe that acknowledging every success, no matter how small, lays the groundwork for enacting greater change. Giving yourself credit for each small step you take can make achieving your ultimate goal feel more attainable. With the shift to telehealth, we're sharing space in a whole new way. I have two cats who occasionally like to drop in and I always welcome your pets, furry or otherwise, to join us.

At the end of the day, I believe you're the expert of your own life. Even experts can benefit from having an advisory board to bounce ideas off of though. I'm committed to creating a safe space where you can explore your concerns, worries, thoughts and ideas. As a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, I have a particular interest in working with fellow members of this community. In addition to my private practice, I am an adjunct practicum professor for Simmons University's online MSW program. I love supporting the next generation of social workers through my role at Simmons and working with future & current social workers in my private practice. Outside of work, I love to read, run, geocache, travel and watch hockey (Go Bruins and BU!) I'll never turn down a recommendation for the next Netflix show I should binge, although it might take me five years to actually get to sit down and watch it.
