About My Clients

Are you struggling to live authentically, to trust your ability to make healthy decisions, or to develop a sense of self and your desires? Perhaps you are grappling with life transitions, relationship conflict, feeling unfulfilled, gender/sexual identity concerns, or a disability. Maybe you're just looking to grow! the therapeutic process is an opportunity to be uniquely listened to in a way we rarely find in everyday life.

My Background and Approach

It's hard to find a therapist you really click with, which is disheartening as research continues to indicate our "fit" with our therapist is the best indicator of therapeutic outcome. I work from a relational, anti-oppression perspective. We'll work collaboratively to address the issues bringing you to therapy right now, as well as your background and formative experiences and relationships, while keeping in mind the systemic and cultural barriers you may have encountered. In the past, I have worked with a wide variety of clients, including couples (monogamous and non-monogamous), artists and creatives, service industry workers, people coping with a chronic illness or disability, members of the LGBTQ community, and unhoused adults.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that we are all capable of change despite the limitations imposed on us by the patriarchy, ableism, late stage capitalism, homophobia, and classism. I don't discriminate against anyone. As a person with an invisible disability, I have learned to navigate uncertainty in a world that is not designed to accommodate anyone who isn't "normal" (which is my least favorite word, in fact!). Therapy has been a crucial part of my own growth. Prior to becoming a therapist, I've lived many different lives. I completed my MFA in Creative Writing, worked at a women's shelter, helped form a creative reuse non-profit, and moved from the South to the Bay Area to the PNW and finally to Philadelphia. I love the unpretentious, gritty nature of the city. When I'm not seeing clients, I like to read, attempt to tame my patio garden, and spend time with friends and loved ones.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
