My Background and Approach

My individual therapy approach draws on evidence based therapy, mainly Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT; examining how thoughts, feelings, and behaviors interact). I also draw upon exposure therapy for anxiety disorders, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for trauma/PTSD, DBT and ACT skills, and mindfulness. For couple/relationship therapy, I provide tailored, affirming care to diverse constellations of couples, drawing on Cognitive-Behavioral Couple Therapy (CBCT) and Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT). These approaches equip partners move past unhelpful patterns, reconnect, more deeply understand how to tend to oneself and the relationship.
