About My Clients
My clients tend to be older adolescents (16-18), young adults (18-25) and adults (25-45). I enjoy working with cis women and trans, nonbinary, BIPOC, disabled and neurodivergent queer folks; especially those coming into their queer identity later in life. I also support those navigating polyamory and ethical nonmonogamy.
My Background and Approach
My therapeutic goal is to walk beside you as you learn to return to your inner wisdom. I take an intuitive approach with clients, meaning I sometimes have a felt sense of where a client is in their healing journey or what approach may work best. I use this felt sense, along with evidence-based practices, to help you decide what will work best for you in the art therapy space. I have an interest in working with folks who are exploring who they are, who they want to become, and those open to intuitive and/or narrative approaches. I bring my personal experiences to this work in a holistic, narrative, and strengths-based approach. PLEASE NOTE: I have a service dog named Jerry who will be present at all in-person sessions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My beliefs are entered around the Reproductive Justice and abolitionist frameworks. This means I believe all people have the inherent rights to live and raise their children in healthy, thriving communities; to decide when and how to parent; and to have the power and resources necessary to thrive. As an artist and healer, I believe in the power of art and creativity to transform. Art helps us take back the power that the world so tries to take from us. I believe that working with a therapist living at the intersections of similarly marginalized identities can help clients co-regulate and heal I am part of the queer community. I am sex positive and believe sex work is work. I meet my client a where they are with a warm and welcoming attitude.
